Green coffee powder 100% Robusta India

This green coffee is ground & unroasted.It was ground in a special process, under a mild and cold treatment. Our special grinding process helps to preserve the valuable ingredients of the green coffee. We work with no additives and thus can guarantee a 100% natural product.

In comparison with Arabica coffees, Robusta has a higher content of chlorogenic acid (about 12%). It contains also more caffeine than Arabica coffee.

Green coffee contains by nature, among others, the following substances:

• chlorogenic acid,
  
• amino acids and
• lipids.

Our green coffee is mainly used to prepare the green coffee drink.

The green coffee powder can also be added to the roasted coffee before brewing (e.g. 20% green coffee and 80% roasted coffee powder). In comparison with the roasted coffee this blend is richer in valuable nutrients, which are normally lost during the roasting process. That type of coffee blends are drunk in some Arab countries.

Taste profile:

The taste of the pure green coffee drink reminds the taste of a mixture of green and black tea. It smells slightly like grass, hay or bit like fresh peas. Since the typical coffee taste and smell, which we know, develop only during the roasting process, the taste and smell of the green coffee is not comparable with the one of the roasted coffee.
